SmartEyeglass is worth £ 620.00 with a free home delivery in the UK. If you’ll order it today it’ll arrive between 13 March to 19 March this year. In an email to PCWorld, a Sony spokesperson said they chose to release the developer’s version now because “as a hands-free device, SmartEyeglass can be a promising product with many practical uses.”

“But since we recognize the need to explore applications at this stage, we’re releasing this developer edition,” the spokesperson said.

Sony is also making the official version of the SmartEyeglass SDK available, enabling developers to create unique hands-free use cases. Developers can combine the SmartEyeglass sensors and camera with the powerful features of the smartphone to create unique hands-free use cases. This means SmartEyeglass has potential to be used in a wide range of use cases.

SmartEyeglass Developer Edition SED-E1 includes unique holographic waveguide technology, which enables super-thin 3.0 mm augmented reality (AR) lenses with high transparency of 85% and excellent brightness, without any half mirrors that may obstruct the user’s vision. Furthermore, the monochrome display ensures low energy consumption and high luminance (up to 1,000 cd/m2). This enables a binocular display, where text and information is clearly visible under a wide range of lighting condition.
