Amazon’s New Unlimited Cloud Storage Is Here

Throwing all caution to the wind, Amazon has launched a new cloud storage plan in which users can store an unlimited number of files using its Cloud Drive service for just $59.99 per year. If you’re after the absolute cheapest unlimited cloud storage plan around, look no further.

With Amazon’s Unlimited Everything plan, you can store just that – an unlimited number of photos, videos, movies, documents and music using Cloud Drive. Amazon Cloud Drive is your place for everything digital. Cloud Drive offers free mobile apps, secure access from any computer, and it’s built-in to your Amazon devices—so you can access your digital content everywhere you are.

Those whose storage needs mainly center around pictures may optionally be interested in the Unlimited Photos plan at just $11.99 annually. As the name suggests, you get unlimited photo storage with this plan in addition to 5GB of extra space for any other file types. This sounds like an excellent option for photographers and general camera enthusiasts. Both plans include a free three-month trial period.

It’s worth mentioning that the Unlimited Photos plan is identical to the Prime Photos plan that comes standard with every Prime membership. If you already have Prime then you already have the $11.99 plan for free. Amazon Prime members will continue to receive unlimited photo sharing and 5GB for free, while non-Prime members will need to choose one of the two new paid plans

The standard benchmark for cloud storage providers today is 1TB which in reality, is a massive amount of storage for the average user. To put it into perspective, I’ve been accumulating files for over 15 years and have just 1.15TB of content.

 Plans Summary:

Unlimited Photos Plan at $11.99 per year after free 3 months trial

Unlimited Everything $59.99 per year after free 3 months trial
Still, strictly in terms of price it’s a great deal. And even if you don’t bite, it should hopefully at least drive unlimited prices down across the entire industry.
