Motorola just officially announced the 5.1.1 Android wear update for Moto 360. The much awaited update is finally released today. Now you’ll soon be able to use apps and contacts quicker, receive heads-up notifications when you’re using another app, and worry less about your battery for continuously running apps.
Here’s the newest features of the Moto 360 Android Smartwatch update:
Scroll with Gestures:
As you all know that the new Android wear software 5.1.1 features the gestures control thing. This feature will help you navigate between notifications by simply gesturing your wrist. Moto 360 gives you the updates you need when they’re most relevant, even if your hands are full. Just flick your wrist to scroll through your latest notifications, from flight alerts to traffic delays.
Stay Connected with Wi-Fi
Everybody knows that Moto 360 always had a wi-fi compatibility but due to software limitation no one was able to get access to wi-fi. But after the 5.1.1 update you’ll be able to use your Moto 360 wi-fi connectivity when you are out of Bluetooth range from your phone. Leave your phone behind and keep your Moto 360 connected via Wi-Fi. Don’t miss a thing, whether your phone is in another room — or even at home.
Instant Emoji Masterpieces
You can now send emojis to your contacts by drawing them on your watch screen. The watch will recognize the emoji and send it via the messaging app you’re using. Draw emojis directly on your Moto 360 screen with your finger. From coffee cups to a thumbs-up Moto 360 will transform it into an emoji to send to your friends and family.
Always-on Mode
No tapping, twisting or shaking required to see what time it is. With the help of Always-on Mode you can see the time anytime like normal watch. But in addition to it the Long running apps like fitness, lists and navigation will stay front and center. If they become inactive, though, this feature will keep displaying the app information in ambient mode.
Quick Access to Apps and Contacts
Just tap or swipe left for your app list and your favorites will float to the top. Two swipes left and your contacts can be reached with a quick tap of a finger for a call, text or e-mail.
